Monterey Location Opening was One Year in the Making
Sierra Health + Wellness Centers acquired the property in 2021 and began renovations for New Start Recovery Solutions Monterey.
The Queen Anne style residence was built in 1902. And while the building had been cared for – it was beginning to show its 120 year age.
We were delighted with the building from the beginning! Victorian era architectural details are in every room.
Addiction recovery patients in our elegant yet home-like Monterey facility will experience sea breezes, serenity and healing.

Each patient receives comprehensive s biopsychosocial screening and assessment to assure placement into the appropriate level of treatment to begin a full and successful recovery. Our staff understands that effective treatment requires a personalized treatment plan. We tailor individual treatment plans for each patient’s unique drug use patterns. This includes co- occurring disorders and any social problems.
Whatever level of care is chosen – the ultimate goal is to motivate each individual to achieve recovery and seek a better quality of life. Making the jump from active addiction to active recovery can seem impossible. The journey begins when you take the first step toward recovery.

Dual diagnosis addiction recovery requires going beyond a basic treatment of alcoholism, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. We combine mental health care with addiction recovery treatment.
